Y-Utopia? Marks the end of 2006, with a title that perhaps alludes to the work of the magazine as a whole. This issue hosts guest editor, Dr. Tali Hatuka, an architect, urban designer and Research Fellow at MIT's Department of Urban Studies and Planning. Hatuka works primarily on the relationships between urban form, violence and everyday life, theses issues are inherently part of Block Magazine's agenda. In this issue Hatuka raises the question of utopia and its place in the architectural discourse; between local and global, and between theory and practice. As Hatuka challenges the currently repressed utopian discourse, Block Magazine joins her in this move in order to invigorate the discussion and produce the "place" out of the utopian (the "non-place")
