About Block /
Block City / Media / Theory / Architectural is dedicated to expanding the contemporary architectural Israeli discourse through exposing and reflecting the ways in which City, Architecture, Art, Media and Technology intersect.
Block offers a reflection on urban and architectural space that erodes the artificial boundaries between disciplines and between body and space; this is not an external contemplation but one that emerges from the inside.
Block is an urban flaneur, perceiving space, its by-products, and events as a whole, while attempting to respond in an essentially interdisciplinary manner.
Block's editorial approach is curative in character. The selection of works allows an encounter between works from various disciplines and places, an encounter taking place within the magazine's space. Each volume articulates a unique curative concept. Thus, the future volumes will host guest-editors who will develop new and different aspects of the Block.
Block is a "living" stage, a platform for action, and dialogue. We advocate the public engagement and the connection between center and periphery.
